Cause: struck black rock during dense fog. sank in seven minutes. 112 lives lost. owned at time of loss by the london & southwestern railway company. built in 1890 by j & g thompson. triple expansion engines for 19.5 knots. carried 174 passengers and 43 crew. the master, captain w reeks, was lost. (dods).

LOCATED WITHIN THE REVISED HISTORIC WRECK RESTRICTED AREA AROUND HMS DRAGON [23422] OF 1.25M RADIUS. (ALDERNEY HARBOUR AUTHORITY FAX DTD 22.7.95). DECISION TO CHART AS USC 40MTRS AS IT LIES 6MTRS PROUD OF THE SEABED IN APPROX 49MTRS.
