Cause: 12.1.93 cargo, 200 tons dynamite in hold and 200,000 percussion caps in containers on deck, shifted in heavy seas causing the vessel to list 45 - 50 degrees. she was taken in tow but line broke three times and vessel eventually sank upside down in shallow water after grounding. vessel exploded the following day. (ll 11, 12.1.93).
