Length 62.2 meter, width: 8.8 meter, draught: 3.4, tonnage 728 ton
Load: coal

Cause: built in 1896 by scott & sons, bowling. owned at time of loss by actieselskabet start. one boiler, triple expansion engine of 98 nhp, single shaft. machinery by ross & duncan, glasgow. passage swansea for rouen. torpedoed by ub-58. (d c wendes). sank following a severe explosion which was thought to have been caused by a mine. (ww1sl). sunk by ub 57. only two of crew escaped. they were recovered by hmt thomas chambers. (dorset shipwrecks).

BR STD. 9.8.99 9.8.99 STERN LIES OVER TO PORT, PROPELLER AND RUDDER VISIBLE. FWD END IS UPRIGHT. BOW PLATES RUSTED AWAY SO THAT ALL THAT REMAINS IS THE STEM POST. (DORSET SHIPWRECKS). 2.2.07 2.2.07 LIES IN 43MTRS. ENGINE LIES TO PORT, THE SINGLE BOILER AND THE VERTICAL DONKEY BOILER BEING THE HIGHEST PARTS. STERN LIES HALF OVER TO PORT WHILE FROM THE BOILER TO THE BOWS THE WRECK IS UPRIGHT, BUT HAS COLLAPSED TO PORT. SPARE PROP IS CLOSE TO THE BOILER ON THE STBD SIDE. (D C WENDES, SOUTH COAST SHIPWRECKS). NCA. 25.10.12 25.10.12 EXAM'D 28.1.12 IN 5028.295N, 0149.610W [WGD]. LEAST M/B DEPTH 35.95 IN GEN DEPTH 41MTRS. LEAST W/C DEPTH 35.91MTRS. SCOUR 0.5MTR DEEP EXTENDS 10MTRS TOWARDS 090 DEGS. LENGTH 70MTRS, WIDTH 16MTRS, HT 4.5MTRS. LIES 090/270 DEGS WITH BOWS E. STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. NOT INTACT, PARTIALLY BURIED. (EMU, HI 1366). RETAIN WK 35MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
