Details measurements/cartography: HH206/460/14 7.6.05 REMAINS OF 'STAR OF HOPE' LIE IN 5335.710N, 0304.923W [OGB]. WK IS WOODEN, LENGTH 30-40MTRS, WIDTH 6-8MTRS. LIES WNW WITH ABOUT 1.5-2MTRS ABOVE THE SAND. (R J LLOYD, LTR DTD 8.4.05). INS AS WK (NO DEPTH SPECIFIED). BR STD. 18.12.06 LIES IN 5335.723N, 0305.003W [WGD]. LIES BOWS S AND DRIES FROM HALF TIDE. HAS BEEN COVERED TO THE MID 1980S, WHEN A SHIFT IN THE SANDBANKS MEANT SHE WAS PARTIALLY SHOWING. TWO WEEKS AGO THE VESSEL WAS ALMOST COMPLETELY COVERED AGAIN ONLY SHOWING 4 TIMBERS, 2 AT THE STERN AND 2 AT THE BOW. LENGTH APPROX 120FT, BEAM 22FT. FOUR HATCH OPENINGS FWD OF MAINMAST, ONE VISIBLE AFT BUT 2/3 OF WK LIES UNDER SAND. (M GRIFFITHS). NCA.
