Cause: ex-ernst hugo stinnes '11, ex-corpath '43, ex-prekla '37. built in 1912 by seebeck, westermunde, germany. owned at time of loss by stanhope ss co ltd. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 186 nhp, single shaft. passage devonport for barrow-in-furness. requisitioned as a collier was part of a convoy when attacked by german aircraft and hit by a single bomb. limped into liverpool bay and sank. (sibi).
