Details measurements/cartography: H3110/72 4.1.73 WK IN 500857N, 035952W [OGB] USING HIFIX [2 LOP]. GOOD SONAR CONTACT FROM ALL DIRECTIONS. FLAT BOTTOM AREA. GOOD FIRM E/S TRACE. LEAST E/S DEPTH 50MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 57MTRS. COARSE SAND AND BROKEN SHELL. NO SCOUR. (HMS HECATE, 1972). CHART AS WK 50MTRS [27FMS]. BR STD. 3.7.07 LIES ALMOST INVERTED, WITH SLIGHT LEAN TO SHIP'S PORT SIDE. CENTRE AREA, POSSIBLY WHERE THERE WAS A WELL-DECK HOLD, HAS COLLAPSED SLIGHTLY. TRUE STBD SIDE IS INTACT AND TIGHT TO THE SEABED WITH LITTLE DEBRIS. ROUNDING THE STERN CAN BE SEEN THE HIGHEST POINT OF THE WK WHICH STANDS 7MTRS. A WELL-NETTED PROP IS IN SITU. ON THE PORT QUARTER IS A SUBSTANTIAL DEBRIS FIELD CONTAINING GIRDERS, POSSIBLY FROM THE AFTER ACCOMMODATION AREA OR BRIDGE. BOILER HAS FALLEN FROM ITS MOUNTINGS AND POKES THROUGH THE HULL SIDE. PARTS OF THE ENGINE ROOM CAN BE SEEN INSIDE THE WK. (SOUTH WEST MAFIA, WEBSITE). NCA. SEP 2014/000153315 11.9.14 EXAM'D 21.6.14 IN 5008.983N, 0359.925W [WGD]. LEAST M/B DEPTH 50.27 IN GEN DEPTH 57.0MTRS. NO SCOUR. LENGTH 55.8MTRS, WIDTH 7.8MTRS, HT 6.73MTRS. LIES 079/259 DEGS. STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. INTACT, INVERTED WITH FWD SECTION COLLAPSED. (MMT, HI 1454). NO DEBRIS. RETAIN WK 50MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
