Cause: built in 1909 by ateliers & chantiers de france, dunkirk. owned at time of loss by the societe navale de l'ouest. triple expansion engine. 156 hp. torpedoed and sunk by german submarine uc 51, off st ann's head in the bristol channel, whilst on passage barry to bizerta. (shipwreck index of british isles) torpedoed on starboard side, abandoned by crew & sank in 15 minutes. (k mcdonald, diver magazine feb'04)

DEBRIS LIES ON EITHER SIDE OF REMAINS OF HULL & KEEL. FINAL STERN SECTION AND PROPELLER SEPARATED FROM REST OF HULL. STERN GUN LIES ON SEABED, WITH SPARE PROPELLER NEARBY PARTIALLY BURIED.
