Cause: ex-river tawe. built in 1920 by london & montrose s & r co ltd, montrose. onwed at time of loss by w m robertson & sons ltd. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 79hp, single shaft. machinery aft by w beardmore & co ltd, glasgow. passage barry for london. after spending a week sheltering in the lee of lundy, resumed passage and struck mouls island in bad visibility and heavy seas. was abandoned by crew and drifted off and sank nearby. crew recovered.
