Cause: ex-gelnmona, ex-raymond-39. built in 1913 by cochran & sons, selby. owned at time of loss by edward nicholas, liverpool. one boiler, compound expansion engine of 55hp, single shaft. lost on passage from garston to preston & assumed to have foundered between ltv & preston. (sibi).

CLOSE E/S SURVEY ON 20.8.1959 SHOWED LEAST DEPTH OF 31FT IN GENERAL DEPTH 42FT. INSPECTED BY DIVER ON 25.2.1965 FOUND TO BE SMALL COASTER ABOUT 110FT LONG, 22FT BEAM. LYING ON PORT SIDE, BOWS EAST. NO FIRM IDENTIFICATION BUT POSSIBLY 'SPEKE'. POSN 533542N, 031847W. (LIVERPOOL WK RECORDS).
