Cause: reported by lloyds to have been en route from dublin to holyhead with general cargo. other report states that vessel was in collision with us destroyer and foundered with the loss of all her cargo of cattle. passengers and crew taken to liverpool by destroyer. (sea breezes, dec 1970). vessel, built 1908, owned at time of loss by london & north western railway co.positional analysis: slieve bloom was sunk in collision at a position which plots 3.3nm se of this wreck (wreck returns 1918).archival analysis: the wreck was identified by the recovery of the bell by jon shaw (personal communication 14 oct 2019).
