Cause: ex- teutonic, built by w gray & co, west hartlepool with 3 cylinder triple expansion engine of 303hp, 2 boilers, single shaft.owned at time of loss by russian government. passage archangel for lerwick. torpedoed by german submarine uc 40, 6c ssw of bard head. taken in tow but sank 30 minutes later. (shipwrecks of n scotlanf, baird & sibi)
