Cause: built of iron in 1854 by tod & mcgregor. four masted and ship rigged. originally owned by p & o as a ss. in 1878 machinery was removed and was sold to devitt & moore who owned her at time time of loss. passage london for sydney. sank following a collision with british sv city of lucknow. (d c wendes & dods).
