Cause: vessel, built 1900 by blyth shipbuilding co, was torpedoed & sunk by a german submarine. the captain & 19 crew were killed, 1 survivor was taken prisoner. owned at the time of loss by orders & hanford steamship co. (dods). sunk while on passage from huelva to troon. (ll ww1).
