Cause: ex-laurie '34, ex-lithopoli '30, ex-war wonder i '18, built in 1917 by tampa shipbuilding & drydock, florida. owned at time of loss by bucha godager & co, rederi rondo. three boilers, triple expansion engine of 262 nhp, single shaft. passage glasgow for dunstan. anchored in aros bay in a snowstorm, cable parted & vessel driven onto dearg sgeir, eileanan glasa. crew abandoned vessel, which was to be broken up in situ, but she eventually slipped off the rock, bow first, into deeper water.
