Cause: ex-prince leopold. built in 1876 by barclay curle & co, glasgow. owned at time of loss by the mersey trading co. one boiler, 2 clyinder oscillating compound engine of 70hp, paddle propulsion. struck underwater object while taking holidaymakers on pleasure trip out from llandudno. was beached off rhos pier. sank later during refloating attempt.
