Cause: Ex-lauterfels '13. built in 1913 by a g weser, bremen for deutsche dampschiffahrts gesellschaft hansa of bremen. seized by british forces at port said in 8.1914 and awarded to the admiralty by the prize court in 1915. renamed 'hungerford'. owned at time of loss by shipping controller (g heyn & sons). three boilers, triple expansion engine of 520nhp, single shaft. passage le havre for new york. torpedoed by uc-75. 8 men lost.
