Cause: Built in 1910 by sir raylton dixon co ltd, middlesbrough. owned at time of loss by the south metropolitan gas co. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 192hp, single shaft. passage cardiff for the tyne. in ballast. captured by ub-39 and then sunk by scuttling charges. all crew recovered.

BETWEEN THE STERN &THE BOW, (NE END), THE HULL PLATE HAS COLLAPSED. MIDSHIPS, ARE TWO MAIN BOILERS, AN AUXILLIARY BOILER &THE TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE. (MMT, HI 1498). AMEND 16.7MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
