(ll ww1 & ww1sl). built in 1872 by earle's co. ltd., kingston-upon-hull, was torpedoed and sunk by german submarine ub-112 6m s of the lizard whilst en route from newport to st malo. NCA. 15.6.07 15.6.07 NOW IDENTIFIED AS THE STERN SECTION OF THE 'POLJAMES'. POLJAMES THOUGHT TO HAVE BEEN BUILT IN SWEDEN AS THE 'JAMES J DICKSON', BUT CONFISCATED BY THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT IN 1917 & RENAMED. (G POUND, TELECOM 15.6.07).
