H614/57 4.3.60 LOCAL FISHERMAN REPORTS THREE WRECKS, OTHER THAN 'HERZOGIN CECILIE' [18071], IN 501249.5N, 034701W, EXIST IN THE VICINITY OF THE MOUTH OF SALCOMBE HARBOUR. ONE LIES JUST BEHIND THE BLACKSTONE ROCKS AND IS JUST VISIBLE AT LW. IT IS BELIEVED TO BE REMAINS OF A SMALL COASTER OF 200 TO 300 TONS. NCA. H5413/60 21.5.62 BOW OF 'PLACIDAS FAROULT' LOCATED WITHIN 10FT OF ROCK BASE WITH ANCHOR CABLE STILL DRAPED OVER THE ROCK. HBR MASTER REPORTS VESSEL FOUNDERED IN A STORM. (BSAC). NCA. 2.4.82 STERN SECTION COMPLETE, WITH WHEELHOUSE, RUDDER, PROP AND HANDRAILS. FORWARD SECTION BROKEN UP. (BSAC WK REGISTER, VOL.II). POSN 501336N, 034626W FOR FILING ONLY.
