H1288/75 18.3.76 ALL THAT REMAINS OF THIS WRECK IS THE BOILER & SCREW ON A SANDY SEABED. THE WEED GROWING ON THE TOP OF THE BOILER IS JUST VISIBLE AT LOW WATER & THE PROPELLER LIES ABOUT 7MTRS NW OF THE BOILER. MAXIMUM DEPTH 5MTRS. THOUGHT TO BE THE 'ARGYLL' WHICH STRANDED IN SEPTEMBER 1893. (P C MILLER, DTD 15.10.75). H1288/75 18.3.76 NOW KNOWN THAT THE 'ARGYLL' WAS REFLOATED. PHOTOGRAPH EXISTS WHICH CONFIRMS THIS WK IS THE PERILIA. (P C MILLER, DTD 18.2.76). H1310/87/39 21.10.87 BOILER LOCATED, TOGETHER WITH TAIL SHAFT & HALF-BURIED PROPELLER, IN NG COORDS: 202400E, 573100N. REPD LOCALLY TO BE THE 'PERINA'. (G JONES, STRANRAER SAC, DTD 8.10.87).
