Cause: built in 1903 by j c tecklenborg a g. owned at time of loss by f laeisz & co. a four masted barque. passage hamburg for valparaiso. sank following collision with french ss phryne, 2817 tons. sank very rapidly. 30 men lost, 4 recovered. (dods).

NEAR MIDSHIPS ON THE PORT SIDE THE SOLIDIFIED CONTENTS OF MANY BARRELS HAVE ROLLED OUT ONTO THE SEABED. BOW SECTION IS DETACHED AND PARTLY INTACT.
