Cause: Ex-sarkani '39, ex-sint jansland '36, ex-schelde, ex-flushing. built in 1916 by jan smit, alblasserdam. owned at time of loss by scheepsvaart-en steenkolen maats nv. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 212hp, single shaft. passage buctouche for immingham. cargo 669 fathoms of pit props & full deck cargo of pit timber. mined.
