Cause: built in 1855 by eben, pike & co. owned at time of loss by the cork steam navigation co. a ss with a clipper bow. compound engine of 250 nhp for 10 knots. ran down and sunk by hms amazon, which also sank. vessel was cut in two. 10 lost. passage liverpool for antwerp.

PROTRUDES ABOVE A 10MTR HIGH GRAVEL BANK. TWO LARGE ANCHORS ARE HOUSED IN EITHER SIDE. POSSIBLY THE REST OF THE HULL IS BURIED IN THE BANK. MAY BE A SV OR OSPREY (POSSIBLY). STANDS 3MTRS HIGH.
