Cause: built of wood in 1843 by donald mckay, usa. owned at time of loss by white diamond line (e train & co). passage liverpool for boston. general cargo & passengers. sank at anchor following a fire, reported to have been started by one of the passengers. an emigrant ship. 178 lives lost. (dod & sibi).
