Cause: ex-arabian prince '19, ex-zenada '33. built in 1919 by w pickersgill & sons, sunderland. owned at time of loss by n g livanos. three boilers, triple expansion engine of 546nhp, single shaft. ran aground on east hoyle bank 6m s of bar lightship and was wrecked. (dods). owners given as theofano maritime, chios. machinery by richardsons westgarth & co ltd, sunderland. passage new orleans for garston. wreck was later used as a bombing target by raf. (sibi).

WORK TEMPORARILY STOPPED OWING TO ENEMY MINING. WHEN A CHANNEL WAS SWEPT TO THE WRECK HER CONDITION HAD DETERIORATED TO SUCH AN EXTENT THAT FURTHER RECOVERY OF CARGO WAS IMPRACTICABLE. ANCHORS & CABLES, WINCHES ETC WERE REMOVED SEP '41. ARRANGED WITH BRITISH IRON & STEEL CORP TO RECOVER SCRAP FROM THE WRECK. WORK CARRIED OUT BY NORTH WALES DEMOLITION CO AS SUB-CONTRACTORS. JUN '42 WORK STOPPED. USED AS BOMBING TARGET BY RAF. MAR '43 USE AS TARGET DISCONTINUED. HT APPROX 16FT ABOVE LBD.
