Details measurements/cartography: SEP 2007/000055998 3.8.07 VERTICAL, SPAR LIKE OBJECT LOCATED IN 5023.1603N, 0411.7386W [WGD]. FURTHER INVESTIGATION SHOWS IT TO BE THE SINKER AND CHAIN FOR A SMALL VESSEL MOORING BUOY, WHICH IS STILL IN USE. LEAST M/B DEPTH OVER SINKER 9.4 IN GEN DEPTH 11.6MTRS. (HMS ROEBUCK, HN DTD 16.7.07 & ROS). INS AS OBSTN 9.4MTRS.

- NM 3888/07. SEP 2008/000051743 16.6.08 CONFIRMED BY DIVERS THAT THE OBJECT IS THE SHANK OF A MOORING ANCHOR (PROBABLY A 5 TONNE AM2) STANDING PROUD OF THE DEPRESSION IN THE SEABED. ATTACHED TO THE ANCHOR BY A RING AND SHACKLE IS WHAT LOOKS LIKE THE START OF A SQUARE LINK MOORING LEG. COULD BE THE PORT AUXILLARY SERVICE MOORING FORMERLY 100MTRS E OF THE CURRENT LOOKING GLASS POINT TROT. LIKELY THAT THE RISERS WERE REMOVED AND THE BACKBONE OF THE MOORING REMAINS ON THE SEABED.
