ON RECOVERY OF SWEEP WIRE A SMALL PIECE OF BUNTING, APPARENTLY PART OF THE UNION FLAG, AND A SMALL PIECE OF WIRE WERE FOUND ATTACHED. GEN DEPTH IN POSN IS 115MTRS AND THE BOTTOM IS UNEVEN. THE SWEEP WIRE WAS STREAMED TO ACHIEVE A CLEARANCE OF 10MTRS IN 130MTR DEPTH. (CAPT MCM, LTR DTD 13.10.86). NCA YET. SUBNAVLANT 083/86 ISSUED. 18.1.01 18.1.01 RECORD REVIEWED. INS AS NDWPA. BR STD.
