Cause: Built in 1940 by s p austin & son, sunderland. owned at time of loss by fenwick & co ltd. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 205hp, single shaft. passage london for blyth. in ballast. bombed and sunk by german aircraft. no lives lost.

(LAND & MARINE, HI 414B). BR STD. HH100/351/09 8.6.95 CARGO VESSEL WITH ENGINES AFT. TWO SUPERHEATED BOILERS, TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE. THERE IS A REPORT THAT THE WK HAS A DEGAUSSING CABLE. CARGO HOLD TO BOW IS WELL COLLAPSED BUT STILL IN LINE. THERE IS A REPORT THAT A WHEELHOUSE STRUCTURE HAS BEEN LOCATED AND A TELGRAPH RECOVERED. COULD BE MOORWOOD. (A C JACKSON & C A RACEY). NCA.
