Cause: built in 1900 by c s swan & huter ltd. owned at time of loss by canadian pacific ocean services ltd. four boilers, triple expansion engine of 702nhp, single shaft. passage liverpool for saint john. was part of convoy hg47. sank after a collision with ss cedric and after being taken in tow by hms dove, two tugs and p63. (sibi).
