Cause: lost in fog on passage from falmouth to dublin. 10 of 20 on board saved. (isles of scilly museum publ no.3). vessel, built in 1857 in new brunswick and owned at the time of loss by r hughes, ran onto the rocks, in dense fog, at the foot of peninnis head, st mary's, isles of scilly. 10 lives lost including the captain.
