Cause: built in 1854 by t vernon & sons, liverpool. owned at time of loss by the city of cork steam packet co. 2 cylinder beam engine of 400 nhp for 12 knots. machinery by bury & co. passage cork for liverpool. struck rocks off the skerries in fog.
