CONSTRUCTED IN CANADA FROM LOCAL TIMBER AS A WARTIME EMERGENCY CONSTRUCTON PROGRAMME. THIS IS REFLECTED IN THE NAME 'MINCA' WHICH IS AN ACRONYM INCORPORATING THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN 'CANADA'.
