Cause: built i 1920 by swan unter,wigham richardson, newcastle-upon-tyne. owned at time of loss by federal steam navigation co ltd. five boilers, twin turbines for 1252 nhp, twin shaft. passage cardiff & newport for swansea and freemantle. mined and sank. most of cargo recovered. later dispersed. (ww2sl, ll & sibi).
