Name: MEDITERRANEAN (POSSIBLY)

Length 25.6 meter, width: 6.5 meter, draught: 3.1, tonnage 105 ton
Load: iron ingots,coal

Cause: built of wood in 1867 by j evans, aberystwyth. owned at time of loss by mrs a cadogan, coosheen. passage newport, mon, for schull, co cork. captured then sunk by gunfire from german submarine. no lives lost. (sibi).

NCA. 11.6.07 SEP 2007/000043224 11.6.07 POSSIBLE WK LOCATED IN 5153.892N, 0654.991W [WGD] USING DGPS. GEN DEPTH 68MTRS. LENGTH 50MTRS, WIDTH 14MTRS, HT 7.2MTRS. (INSS SURVEY 1999-2005). LIES 070/250 DEGS. LINE OF DEBRIS WITH HIGHEST PART AT THE SW. MINOR SCOUR. POSSIBLY THIS VESSEL AND CARGO. INS AS WK 59MTRS.
