Cause: 21.12.1894 vessel, departed from garston, liverpool, for santos, brazil, on 21.12.1894 under tow of tug knight templar. tow was cast off near the skerries during a violent storm. nothing further heard of vessel until 3 boats and 2 bodies were washed ashore at hoylake, mostyn and seaforth. (k hurley).
