Cause: vessel, built in 1877 by d & w henderson, glasgow. owned at time of loss by j lilburn, glasgow. on passage from glasgow for adelaide and melbourne. ran ashore in a force 8 while seeking shelter. much of cargo of beer and whisky raised at time of wrecking, 3 locals died, 1 of alcohol poisioning & 2 trying to retrieve cargo. (sibi, diver magazine dec'99, pembroke shipwrecks & shipwrecks around wales).
