Cause: built in 1865 by humber iron works, kingston-upon-hull. two boilers, 4 cylinder compound engine, single screw. machinery by humphrys & co, hull. passage cardiff for plymouth. cargo coal. struck the runnelstone and later sank about half a mile offshore. crew landed by boat.

LIES N/S WITH BOWS N. NO SCOUR. LIES ON AN INCLINE WITH STERN ON FLAT, SANDY SEABED AND THE BOWS ON A ROCK REEF. WRECK IS OPEN BUT SPREAD AROUND A QUITE SMALL AREA. ENGINE IS LARGEST PART. SPARE IRON PROP NEAR BOWS. COAL BLOCKS STILL IN WRECKAGE. (G LOCKETT, 18.12.00). INS AS NDW. BR STD. HH100/351/18 27.2.02 HH100/351/18 27.2.02 LIES IN 5002.784N, 0535.561W [WGD].
