Cause: classified by fosni staff as landing craft which sank in 1944. 2.4.1944 both lca 672 & lca 811 foundered during exercises off e scotland on 2.4.1944. (shipwrecks of the forth & tay, b baird)

Details measurements/cartography: H454/67 15.4.75 WK LOCATED BY SONAR & INVESTIGATED BY DIVERS. FIXED IN 560257N, 030012W [OGB] USING DECCA AND RADAR RANGES WK ESTIMATED TO STAND OVER 8FT. CONSIDERED TO HAVE BEEN ON BOTTOM FOR AT LEAST 10 YEARS. NO NAME OR IDENTIFICATION DISCERNIBLE. WK HELD ON SONAR BRG 169DEGS, 100YDS FROM FIXED POSN. (HMS NURTON HN 20.2.1975). INS AS WK 7FMS 3FT [13.5MTRS].

- NM 836/75. SEP 2007/000079019 19.11.07 WK 14.4 SHOWN IN 5602.904N, 0300.171W [OGB] ON FORTH DEEP WATER CHANNEL SHEET 3 DRAWING 1008/2/07 [ DTD 23.10.07] (SINGLE BEAM SURVEY). CONFIRMATION THAT THIS IS THE SAME WK AS [2827] BUT THAT THERE IS NO CERTAINTY THAT THE SHOALEST SOUNDING WAS FOUND. (ALAN SWEET, FORTH PORTS HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYOR, E- MAIL DTD 15.1.07). RETAIN AS WK 13.5MTRS & INSERT IN AMENDED POSN 5602.900N, 0300.258W [EUT]. BR STD.
