Cause: built of iron in 1868 by palmer's company ltd, jarrow-on-tyne. owned at time of loss by cork ss co (e pike). one boiler, one donkey, compound expansion engine of 90ihp, single shaft. machinery aft by the builder. passage liverpool for rotterdam. general cargo included cotton in bales and baulks of mahogany. sank following collision with barque abbey holme. (dc wendes).
