Cause: built in 1906 by the sunderland ship building co. owned at time of loss by bistis t & hadzikyriakos. three boilers, triple expansion engine of 353nhp, single shaft. machinery by n e marine engine co of sunderland. passage almeria for newcastle-upon-tyne. torpedoed by uc 70. (sibi).

LEAST E/S DEPTH 30.2 IN GEN DEPTH 35MTRS. NO SCOUR. DCS3 HT 4.8MTRS, LENGTH 75MTRS, BEAM 10MTRS. LIES 158/338 DEG, UPRIGHT AND DISINTEGRATING WITH SIDE PLATES COLLAPSING AND NO OBVIOUS SUPERSTRUCTURE. LIES CLOSE TO ANOTHER WK, CLOSE SE, WITH WHICH IT MAY HAVE HAD A COLLISION. (LAND & MARINE, HI 414B). BR STD. SEP 2017/000002822 24.5.17 EXAM'D 15.12.16 IN 5441.983N, 0102.890W [WGD]. LEAST W/C DEPTH 29.75MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 35MTRS, LENGTH 79.5MTRS, WIDTH 14.5MTRS, HEIGHT 5.4MTRS, ORIENTATION 165/345 DEGS. WRECK APPEARS TO BE UPRIGHT AND INTACT BUT SEVERELY DISINTEGRATED. ORIENTATED TO THE SOUTHWEST THE BOW SECTION IS WELL BROKEN, MIDSHIPS SUPERSTRUCTURE HAS COLLAPSED. (MMT, HI 1491). AMEND DW 29.5MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
