MAIN PART OF WRECKAGE CONSISTS OF TWO BOILERS AND A MOUND OF UNIDENTIFIABLE FERROUS WRECKAGE, IN AMONGST WHICH ARE MANY HUNDREDS OF LIVE 75MM AND 105MM SHELLS AND MANY LARGER (APPROX 250MM) SHELLS. THE AMMUNITION IS OF FRENCH MANUFACTURE AND ALL IS DATED 1916. COMPLETE FIELD GUNS AND CARRIAGES LIE AMONGST THE WRECKAGE. KNOWN LOCALLY AS THE 'JOSHUA NICHOLSON' ALTHOUGH THIS WAS THOUGHT TO HAVE BEEN SUNK OFF THE WOLF ROCK (SEE DEAD RECORD 22559). (G J LOCKETT, 11.11.98). INS AS NDW. BR STD.
