Cause: vessel, built 1947, ran aground 0.5m s of grim ness head, s ronaldsay after running out of fuel in gale. owned at time of loss by san paraskevi shipping co. she was subsequently sold for scrap. 8 members of longhope lifeboat lost their lives going to vessel's assistence.

- NM 732/69. 25.9.74 SLOWLY BEING BROKEN UP WHERE SHE LIES. LIES PARALLEL TO THE COAST, BOWS NE. (SEA BREEZES, SEP 1974). 2.12.75 HULL, SUPERSTRUCTURE & FUNNEL STILL MAINLY INTACT. SOME SIDE PLATING IS MISSING FROM THE PORT SIDE. TOP OF FUNNEL IS 18.5MTRS ABOVE MHWS. REAR CARGO HATCHES & DERRICKS ARE GONE. FRONT DERRICKS STILL INTACT. SHIP IS SITTING UPRIGHT ON THE ROCKY FORESHORE, BOWS NE. SOME WRECKAGE IS SCATTERED ON THE ROCKS ON THE PORT SIDE.
