Cause: built in 182 by short brothers. owned at time of loss by lumsden, byers & co. foundered and sank three quarters of a mile e of souter point following collision with ss pierremont. 20 lost. (r young).

BOILERS ARE STILL STANDING NEXT TO THE ENGINE BLOCK, WHICH IS SMASHED OPEN AND LYING ON ITS SIDE, SHOWING ALL OF THE LARGE BRONZE BEARINGS.
