Cause: ex-tighnamara, ex-katoomba, ex-lord byron, ex-imogem. built in 1980 at greenock. twin masted steam yacht with 4 cylinder quadruple expansion engine. named verona when requisitioned in nov 1914 for anti submarine patrol duties. mined 4m se of tarbet ness & sank in less than 1 minute. 23 lives lost. (diver magazine).
