Shipwreck details

Name: HMS TIGER

Length 64 meter, width: 6.4 meter, draught: 1.5, tonnage 300 ton

Cause: built in 1901 initially by john brown, but was completed by j & g thompson, clydebank. three normand boilers, two triple expansion engines totalling 6400 hp, twin shaft. passage portsmouth for night exercises off st catherine's point and return. sunk in collision with hms berwick, 9800tons after crossing berwick's bows. cut in two and sank. 32 men lost, 22 men recovered.
