Cause: Built 1897 by edwards shipbuilding co. ltd., with 3 cylinder triple expansion engine of 70nhp, 1 boiler, single shaft. machinery by neme co ltd., sunderland. originally owned by kelsall brothers and beeching ltd, requistioned by royal navy for use as a mine sweeper. sank following collision with norwegian ss audax between whitby and robin hood's bay.
