Cause: 11.12.14 built in 1915 by smith's cock, hull. purchased 11.12.14. one boiler, triple expansion engine, single shaft. disappeared off owers ltv. probably mined. (ww1sl, sibi & colledge).

H2318/74 2.9.75 WK LOCATED 25.6.75 IN 503718N, 004109W [OGB] USING HI-FIX [2 LOP]. LEAST E/S DEPTH 22.8MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 28.5MTRS. SCOUR 2.9MTRS. APPROX 50MTRS IN LENGTH. LYING ABOUT 035/215DEGS. (SCES, HI 62/75). CHART AS WK 22.5MTRS IN REVISED POSN.

THE HIGHEST POINT BEING A VERTICAL BOILER APPROX 20FT HIGH. VESSEL IS UPRIGHT AND HAS A WHALEBACK BOW. THE IRON PROPELLER AND GENERAL STATE OF THE WK SUGGEST A WW1 COASTER OR SIMILAR. (SPITHEAD MARINE SALVAGE LTD LTR VIA SCES IN LTR DTD 11.8.75). NCA. H4822/75 23.3.77 NOT SEARCHED FOR BUT STATED TO BE 'IN 3 BITS CLOSE TOGETHER'. (FSL WATERWITCH, HI 73/76). NCA. H1287/83 5.10.83 IDENTIFIED AS THE 'SAPPER' FROM NAME PLATE FOUND WHILE DIVING ON WK, APPROX W OF OWERS LANBY. (T FRANCIS, 26.9.83). NCA. HH091/003/01 30.9.03 EXAM'D 13.6.03 IN 5037.320N, 0041.233W [WGD] USING DGPS. SWEPT CLEAR 24.2, FOUL 24.5MTRS. LEAST E/S DEPTH 23.4 IN GEN DEPTH 28MTRS. NO SCOUR. LENGTH 45MTRS, WIDTH 8MTRS. DCS3 HT 3.9MTRS. LIES 080/260 DEGS. MODERATE MAGNETIC ANOMALY. INTACT, ALMOST COMPLETELY BURIED. (NP 1016, HI 1003A). BROKEN UP, IN TWO MAIN PARTS AMEND SW 24MTRS. BR STD. SEP 2018/000198963 10.08.18 EXAM'D 07.02.18; IN 5037.320N, 0041.237W [WGD]. LEAST M/B DEPTH 23.57MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 29MTRS, LENGTH 41MTRS, WIDTH 11.5MTRS, HEIGHT 5.4MTRS, ORIENTATION 055/235 DEGS. BROKEN INTO TWO SECTIONS OF HULL WITH UPPER LEVELS REMOVED. BOTH SECTIONS HAVE COLLAPSED OVER TOWARDS THE NW. THE SW, (PRESUMABLY BOW), SECTION IS THE MOST INTACT PART. THE MIDDLE SECTION HAS ALMOST ENTIRELY COLLAPSED, WHERE THE VESSEL TWISTED APART. THE NE, (PRESUMABLY STERN), SECTION HAS A SINGLE UPRIGHT BOILER EXPOSED AND POSSIBLE RUDDER. 45MTRS NE OF THE STERN IS A FEATURE THAT MAY BE DEBRIS FROM THIS WRECK. (MMT, HI 1498). AMEND DW 23.5MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
