[originally laid down as 'longbranch' but re-named in late 1943 as regulus]. an algerine class minesweeper. 2000hp for 16.5 knots. one 4 inch aa & four 22mm guns. mined off sista island, s corfu channel. her propellors were apparently blown off & was taken in tow but sank 46 minutes after explosion. vessels normal complement 100. (dods).
