Cause: built of wood in 1809 in bermuda. 16 x 24pdr carronades, 2 x 9pdr. under command of capt mitchell. cruising the the w coast of ireland looking for smugglers. blown ashore in force 12 gale. crew of 121 all recovered. (sii).
