Cause: Built 1911 by smith's dock co ltd., middlesbrough, with 3 cylinder triple expansion engine of 75hp, 1 boiler, single shaft. machinery by w. v. v. lidgerwood, glasgow. originally owned by consolidated steam fishing & ice co. & requistioned by the admiralty in feb '15 as a minesweeper. struck a mine & sank off whitby. BR STD. HH100/351/09 7.6.95 COAL FOUND AROUND SINGLE BOILER WITH RIBS STANDING AT EITHER SIDE. NOTHING ASTERN OF ENGINE. BOWS INTACT. POSSIBLE SMALL STEAM TRAWLER. (A C JACKSON/C A RACEY).
